The Murdoch Lodge "Ladies Night" dinner dance is traditionally held on the closest Saturday to Valentines day. This year it was at the Chateau Impney Hotel in Droitwich on 12th February.

The evening began with pink champagne and photographs of all the guests with the Worshipful Master, Bernard Cartwright, and his lady Corrinne. As guests met and chatted, a tombola in aid of charity was held - there was a vast array of prizes, donated by Lodge members and their friends, and most participants walked away with something, be it a bottle of Scotch or a tin of mints!

After aperatifs, the guests made their way to the tables, and had an excellent meal, followed by a speech from the Junior Warden welcoming the guests and thanking them for coming. The Worshipful Master then invited everyone to take part in a game of "heads and tails" for £1 each, in which the aim is to predict the falls of a coin until only one person is left. The winner donated half of the £100 prize money to the Charity Collection, which was a wonderful gesture.

The live band, "First Impressions", then took the stage and the guests danced until midnight to a variety of different music, ranging from waltzs and quicksteps to the Twist and Status Quo!

Almost 200 masons and non-masons came to the event, and all had a marvellous time, while the various money-raising efforts of members of the Lodge and the generosity of their guests raised a wonderful amount of money to be given to Charity.
